Hello,

Thank you for this fantastic piece of application.

My configuration is as follows:
PHP 4.3.10
UACCS 1.80

I've did a fresh installation and everything seems alright. Created a new survey with mandatory/required questions. When I preview or launch the survey to try, I realised that it'll allow me clicking "Next" even when I did not answer those "required" question. I did see the [*] mandatory red marking on those question. When I try the 2 surveys that came with the fresh installation, I found that those "required" questions work.

Could anyone share some light as to what happened?

Thanks a lot!

How are you making them "required"? There are two drop downs when you add a question. One drop down tells how many answer blocks to add. This is normally one. The second drop down tells how many are required. If you have one answer block and set "required" to one, then the question is required.

I've never had any issues with getting by required questions. If you're doing it the way I described and it's still not working, can you provide me a link to your installation?

As I was trying to get the link to you, I've tested it again and it's working today.... The instruction you gave was exactly what I did. As there was no reboot or closing of my browser yesterday, is there a possibility of cookie or the session being messed up such that it didn't work? (but your examples work).

I couldn't understand this.

Thank you for your time.

Cookies seem to be screwing with a lot of things, so maybe that was it. Either way, it's working now, I guess. smile.gif

Yes it seems. I'm suspecting that or session variables messed up for some reasons. The interesting thing is that the examples work when the new survey don't. If I do come across this again, I'll work on making it replicable and post up any findings.

Thank you for this great piece of application again.

I'm not sure if this is the same cause but I ran into the same problem and know why it happened to me. It appears that if you use the Preview Survey link from the top header in the Edit Survey area to check out your survey then the required fields feature doesn't work. Of course, if your survey is inactive (common case when in development) then you must use that link to preview it. If you make your survey active and view it from the main page the required fields work properly. A small bug perhaps, but worth fixing I think.
