Just a heads up to everyone that my job is taking me out of the country for a few months, maybe up to year. I'm not sure what kind of access I'll have there or how much time I'll have for programming, though. I'm taking my code and computer and will attempt to keep up with things and features while I'm there, however.

I've been in email contact with a few others that have submitted code additions and new features for UCCASS to make it work with other databases and fix bugs, etc. I'll be giving those guys CVS access and encouraging them to post here to keep everyone updated.

Take care,

For all windows users, this program, besides being very good,
I was having this famous session_ start () problem. My solution was to go to the
classes/main.class.php and look for session_start();
right above it, I wrote session_save_path('c:/tmp3');
and created a file at c:/tmp3 with read and write permissions.
and the problem ended.
Had to do it, in view of the fact that I have Joomla and Phpbb2 on my same system and everyone of them is saving sessions at different locations tmp1, tmp2, tmp3. This is to avoid conflicts.

Hi

I have just found this forum and the UCCASS script, and it looks very interesting. I was wondering what the furutre is, in terms of its development. I noticed that there is a long list of things to add, and also saw that the nice chap writing it has said he is working abroad so may not have much time. I was wondering if there would be an updated version soon, as a few of the features in the to do list look essential, ie batch adding of invitees for example.

Thanks.

The good news is that I'm back in the States now. I also have a new version that's almost ready for release. I just need to finish up a little bit of the documentation and do some testing. No timeline on the release, though. I haven't added all of the features on the todo list, but the batch import/export of users and invitees has been added.

Does anyone know if there is any work done to develop a UCCASS-Joomla/Mambo bridge ? Is there one already available ?

If you know the answer to any of the above, please share it here in this thread.

I modified UCCASS 1.8.1 to add :
  • numeric type
  • date type
  • resuming of survey
  • little "metadata" system for questions
Some code is based on what has been done here http://www.bigredspark.com/forums/index.ph...dpost&p=269 long time ago except that now values are stored as timestamp and double in database.

Demo is here : http://www.greenvest.info/survey/index.php

Hi John,

UCCASS is still the best free survey software by far! You've done an amassing job. Any plans for a 1.9 release? It's been a while :-)

Thx

Andreas
